Introduction

Building a career is a very important aspect from a student’s perspective. It can be confirmed that the corporation will be need to make sure that there are various methods in which the career of the students can be shaped properly. In addition to this, it can be said that the business corporation will not need to make sure that there are it allows the young students to grow their careers efficiently. In many ways, it can be said that the students will require assessing their skills to find out their weaknesses. This will allow the individuals in making better choices for their future perspectives. The career of interest for this assignment is a clinical social worker.



Discussion

Planning for a future career is never an easy task. I have understood a very important fact that my course modules will help me in gaining the knowledge and skills required for career development. In addition to this, I have ensured that I follow the module provided to me religiously regularly. In the first week of the module, I learned about the importance of reflecting on writing and how to properly assess the same. In addition to this, the second week has been fruitful as well. I have learned about how I will be able to learn about career anchors.

In accordance with learning and development, the learner must be required to ensure that they know how to approach the professional world (Wendling and Sagas, 2020). The creation of the CV is one important aspect that needs to be learned by the candidate efficiently to ensure that they have been able to properly impress the organisational sector. In the fourth week of the module, I learned about the importance of inclusiveness within the industry. In many ways, it can be said that inclusive learning required the learner to understand the major aspects of racism within the education sector. In no way can it be said that I have not understood the meaning of racism within the purview of the educational models.

In the fifth week of the module, I very efficiently learned the importance of ethical behaviour. It can be said that for being a social health worker I will be required to ensure that I grow such skills and knowledge. There are many ways in which the learner will be able to learn about these rules and regulations. I have understood the major importance of ethics within the career development of the organisation. My learning capabilities are hugely dependent on how I regulate the knowledge matter (Fasbender et al., 2019). For working as a clinical social worker, I must be able to properly analyse the important factors. In addition to this, it can be said that the development of my skills will be another important factor that is required to be considered here.

The career expo that I attended on the 18th of March has been very useful. There I learned about how I can create my CV and make it more attractive. In addition to this, it can be stated that the learned will be required to design their CV in such a way that the organisation can properly analyse the skill of the learner easily. I have also understood the importance of planning my career as a proper path as it helps in ensuring that the corporation will be able to require the major aspects. In addition to this, it can be said that the corporation will be able to properly ensure the major factors form a learner’s career path.

A skill audit is used as a systematic way to assess the skills of the learners. A skill audit will allow me to ensure that I am being able to grow skills and develop myself as per the requirements of the Clinical Social Worker. The following table has been provided regarding the major organisational aspects and their requirements.

Rating of the skills audit is in the following ways – 1 being the worst while 5 being the best.

The skill audit shows that I will still require improving myself majorly in communication, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Immense improvement is required in the field of adaptability. On the other hand, after the skill audit has been conducted, I have been able to understand that there are various ways in which my leadership skills can help me in achieving my goals efficiently. In addition to this, it can also be said that I will be able effectively to contribute to the organisational aspects of the clinical social worker. Thus, it can be safely said that my major qualities are leadership, critical thinking and team working capabilities. On the other hand, I have major skill gaps in adaptability and require improving my communication skills as well.

My major career goal is to become a clinical social worker. I have often noticed that many people have faltered their health due to one major factor such as the lack of social health care and clinical facilities. Thus, it can be said that the business corporation will be required to properly ensure that various aspects can be used to increase employment in this field. I must be able to properly motivate myself for career aspects. In addition to this, it can be said that I will need to properly assess my skills to ensure that there are ways in which I can improve them to enter the market.

One very important theory that can be considered here is the career development theory. In addition to this, it can be said that the individual learner will need to ensure that they use this theory to make amends for the mistakes they have made in their career path. The career development theory studies the major topics like how an individual s careerist aspect can be properly reached (Arthur, 2018). It can be said that the business organisations and the employers play a very important role in understanding the major factors such as the employment options.

In the appendix, I have mentioned a personality test to show the major aspects of the organisational aspects. The personality test helps in ensuring that I can judge myself and if the choice of my career is good enough. As per the personality test, my personality test is Executive ESTJ- T (16personalities, 2022). It means that I am more extroverted and observant. In addition, the personality test has shown that I have better judging tactics and it can be used to ensure that there are various ways in which my career can land into. Understanding my skills will allow me to understand my intricate personality and ensure that there are ways in which I will be able to increase my employment options. My employment options will increase if I can create a proper LinkedIn account for the organisation. In addition to this, it can be stated that I will be required to gel in with a community for better exposure.

Skills can be achieved only with the help of sheer determination and it can be stated that these aspects can be dealt with the help of the proper experiences. The employer will have immense expectations from a new employee. As a social clinical worker, I will be need to make sure of the fact that there are various ways in which I will be able to top properly ensure that I gain the skills and qualifications expected by the employer. In addition to this, I will also be required to ensure that there are many different ways in which I will be able to properly instil professional behaviour in myself efficiently. As a clinical social worker, I will require to take up the course in medical and social sciences in accordance with qualifications. It is important to note that I gain knowledge regarding society to ensure that there are various ways in which I will be able to help society with the help of the knowledge I have gained (Davey, 2020). In addition to this, I can safely say that meeting the needs of the organisation will help me in properly maintaining the major aspects of my career. Thus, it can be said that the business company will be required to ensure that there are various methods in which I will be able to gain these skills.

I will have to undertake communication skills enhancing classes to ensure that the corporation will be able to properly analyse my attributes. Enhancing my communication skills will help me in ensuring that I can properly analyse the major factors and present my ideas more clearly. I can get these skills by either reading the books and as well as taking up personality development skills I will also need to increase my adaptability skills by getting out of my comfort zone more often.

One of the major current skills which I have realised through the skills audit is that I have immense leadership capabilities (Park et al., 2018). However somewhere I lack the proper skills to ensure that it is adaptable to multiple situations. Adaptability skills are very important to ensure that an individual is properly gelling in with newer aspects of society. These skills are immensely necessary for me to properly develop my career as a clinical social worker. However irrespective of my skills I believe I have an experience gap. It is important to ensure that the organisation will be required to ensure that there are various ways in which I will be able to properly get these experiences.

Getting into the particular client groups which serve the community for social work aspects will be beneficial for me. In addition to this, I believe I will be required to join the voluntary services as well and therefore I will be able to fill my experience gap efficiently. I will be able to use my leadership skills to master my role during the voluntary services I will be providing. There are many different ways in which I will be able to make sure that I can cover my skill and experience gaps simultaneously.

The career development award is a great way to show success in career development. It shows the pathway till which an individual has reached in their career. I can say that I have been able to reach the bronze level of career development. This is the first stage of the award and can be said that the individual will efficiently need to make sure of the fact that there are many different ways in which I will be able to properly kickstart my career (University of Bedfordshire, 2022). This stage of the award comes with the requirements of self-reflective practices and I can understand my skills and requirements. I can understand the importance of assessing my skills as it has allowed me to understand the major aspects of my career development aspects. On the other hand, I can safely say that as I move forward with my career as a clinical social worker, I can safely say that moving on to the silver will help me more.

At the end of the analysis, it can be said that an individual will require ensuring that they are being able to properly self-reflect. In addition to this, it can be said that an individual will be required to make proper plans regarding their future. In addition to this, it has been also found that career development theory can be used by the organisation to ensure that they are being able to properly hire candidates.
