Recruitment Process
Human Resource Management is an operative practice that helps in determining project activities to set up the organization. HRM has the ability to manage and look after the internal activity to solve business issues and the development of the nation. Recruitment is the major responsibility of an HR manager. They make sure the best employees are hired in the company and achieve organization aims and objectives (Armstrong,and Taylor, 2014). In this report, the major focus will be done on HRM practices that are currently used by the chosen organization. The weakness and strengths of different recruitment and selection practices will be outlined. The evaluation and benefits of different HRM observes in terms of raising profits and organization output will be particularly defined. The importance of having employee relation while making HRM decision making and different employee legislation which are affecting HRM decision and policies will be outlined. Lastly, the application of HRM adopted in the chosen organization for recruiting employees will be defined effectively.
The present report is based on ASDA company. It is a British supermarket company which was originated in the year 1949. It is a core supermarket company which offers different services, like finance service, mobile phone services, and many others. The firm mainly deals in grocery products and financial services. The company has its global presence all over the world and Walmart is the major competitor of ASDA company (Xie & Allen, 2013).

ASDA is a sustainable grocery organization and is accessible to all its customers in an real manner. The mission of ASDA company is to be a most trusted retailer and helps all its customers to live a better life and provide protection to its planet. The major determination of the company is to provide affordable goods and services to everyone and determine its business decision according to the organization's culture. The company makes sure that it achieves its aims and objectives by hiring or recruiting the best employees for the company and reduce its production price to provide affordable goods and services to its customers.
Human Resource Management includes different functions that are related to the management of employees at work. It mainly comprises planning, manpower, placement, training, employee compensation, and many other activities. The scope of HRM is very broad as it comprises different activities and operations to perform. HRM in an organization plays a very essential role in enhancing and developing the organization's culture. The practices of HRM in the ASDA company will help in reducing the gap among the performance of employees and strategic objectives of the organization. Recruitment in the organization is considered as the procedure which allows the manager to look after job vacancy, looking after job requirements, screening, shortlisting, and placing the right candidate for the job. ASDA company recruits the employees in two different ways:

This type of recruitment occurs when businesses effectively look after filling their vacancy from the existing workforce. The strength and weakness or advantages and disadvantages of Internal recruitment for ASDA company are as follows:

It is a cheaper and quicker way to recruit employees

External recruitment
The external recruitment in the company happens when the occupational needs to fill the unoccupied post from any appropriate applicant exterior the company. The advantages and disadvantages of this type of recruitment for ASDA company are as follows:
Advantages:
The people from outside bring new ideas.
A large pool of workers is available and the company can find the best candidate or talent suitable for the company.
The people from outside havea wide range of experience as compared to internal ones.
Disadvantages:
The procedure for hiring employees from outside is very long (Rozario, et. al., 2019).
The process is expensive due to huge advertising and interviews.
The selection procedure might not be effective to get the best candidate.
Selection is the procedure for choosing the candidates for the job. There are different methods that need to be considered for a particular role. ASDA will select the best talent to achieve its firm's aims and objectives. The different internal and external selection method might include employment agencies, advertising, direct selection. Psychometric testing and many more. The strength and weakness of the selection method are as follows:
There is a reduction in cost and time through this method.
The selection procedure can be sometimes complicated as huge skills and knowledge is required to select the best employees.

Sometimes in such process, the employees might feel left out and they are not provided to achieve their aims and goals in desired manner or way.

The time and effort of the HR manager will be saved. In the same case if company hire employees from outside firm then lot of research is required but the company will get new idea and talent. The benefit of this practice to employer is that the productivity of employees get increased and they remain updated with results. If in the company the employers are provided effective training then the time and cost of supervision of employees will be reduced. The employees get huge benefits from development and training program as there is increase in their morale, increase in job satisfaction level, retention of employees for a long time period, development of feeling of belongingness, and many others.
Reward management: The management of reward in the company make sure that the employees of the company has a meaningful bond with business. The employees get the benefit from employees that they get to know that their hard work meets the expectation of customers. The employers of the company also get the opportunity to claim bonuses, raises, and many others (Bal, et. al., 2015).

The reward system is considered as the motivation provided to both employees and employers. The motivation in ASDA is enhance by appreciating employees for their hard work and achievement of business goals, incentives, bonus, promotion and many other ways. In the other competitor company of ASDA like Sainsbury Walmart, etc., the major focus is done on enhancing profit rather than looking after employees needs and wants. The HRM practices in such companies are not much advance and lack effectiveness. ASDA focuses on both its employees and customer needs and make sure that they both are happy and satisfied. This allow firm to raise its profits and productivity. It is also very essential for the company to bring changes in its HRM practices with time and needs (Nasomboon, 2014).
